Common questions
If your question isn't here, just ask! We're real engineers who run real industrial systems.
The broker plan gives you an always-on managed MQTT broker with Sparkplug B support. You get real-time data flowing to your dashboard, device connectivity, and multi-space isolation. It's everything you need for live monitoring. Add the Historian when you want to store and trend data over time, or Alarms & Notifications when you need automated alerts with email and SMS escalation.
When you start a trial session, your broker accepts connections and all services activate for 8 hours — data flows into the historian and alarms are fully operational. After that, clients disconnect and ingestion pauses — but all your data stays. You can browse, query, and build against it anytime. When you're ready for more, just reset and start a new window.
No. Reset as many times as you want. The trial never expires. We'd rather you take your time and be confident than rush into a decision. We do delete accounts that go fully inactive for 30+ days, and we reserve the right to reclaim trial resources at any time.
The 100 GB limit applies to Historian add-on subscribers. We'll notify you when you're approaching the limit and discuss upgrading to an Enterprise plan. We won't surprise-bill you or cut off your data.
You define alarm conditions on any Sparkplug B metric — high/low limits, state changes, or deadbands. When an alarm triggers, AnywhereSCADA sends notifications through email and SMS with configurable escalation policies. You can set up notification groups, acknowledge alarms from the dashboard, and review alarm history. The add-on is $99/month and included in 8-hour trial sessions.
The Historian and Alarms & Notifications are both included in 8-hour trial sessions so you can evaluate the full platform. AI Reports gets a 14-day free trial. Each add-on is trialed independently and converts to paid only when you decide.
No. AnywhereSCADA works with any MQTT client. You'll need a Sparkplug B compliant client for history and alarms, but you can also use it for raw MQTT communications. We use it to power SCADA applications with our Tentacle PLC Open Source project and modern web framework front ends as a Human Machine Interface. It complements Ignition but doesn't require it.
Yes. Your data is stored in standard PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB. We can assist with exports at any time. No proprietary lock-in.
